I attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where I received my BA in Elementary Education. Following that, I acquired my Middle School Math Endorsement. Now, I'm working towards my master's in Curriculum and Instruction, focusing on Administration, at McDaniel College. I have more than 10 years experience tutoring. I began while in high school, unofficially helping friends and family members in a variety of subjects. I did more formal tutoring in college, and in my last year at college, I worked with the Krieger Institute, tutoring in corrective reading. Finally, I became a math teacher for middle grades. I've taught all math classes from basic math through Algebra II. Not only that, but I've worked with students in other ways. I sponsor a mentoring club for certain students, and also continue to do individual tutoring. While I can tutor in subjects like English and test prep for standardized tests like the PSAT, SAT, and others, my passion is for math. I also enjoy helping students as they go through selecting and applying to college. When tutoring, I like to do hands-on activities, and give my students plenty of practice to make sure they master each skill. In addition to math, I also love reading, playing volleyball, and shopping online.
